Ryan is Student Energy’s Global Community Manager. He is responsible for the development and expansion of the organization’s student-led chapters around the world, empowering students to impact their communities, collaborate with the energy sector, and accelerate our sustainable energy transition.

Ryan has a passion for leadership development and creating opportunities for youth to shape their own energy futures. Ryan has a wide range of experience in the renewable energy, oil sands, and non-profit sectors. He has previously worked as an Electrical Engineer-in- Training for Shell Canada, Project Coordinator for the City of New Westminster’s Community Solar Garden, and Co-Chair of the Engineers Without Borders
National Conference in Edmonton, Alberta.

Ryan holds a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alberta, a Masters in Clean Energy Engineering Leadership from the University of British Columbia, and a Project Management Qualification from the Association for Project Management.
