My name is Lorenzo Jiang. I'm from Italy. I go to Azusa Pacific University where I am a Bachelors in Business Economics candidate.
What got you interested in sustainability?
If we truly care about future generations then we should care about sustainability as well. It is fundamental for us to develop new technologies that could allow us to pursue a sustainable way to produce energy in the long-run.
What sustainability, energy, and mobility issues are important to you?
I am an advocate to improve the crumbling infrastructure in the US. Public transportation which must be bettered. We live in an era with adequate technology to shift from a car culture to an efficient mass transportation system.
What exciting projects/research are you working on now?
I am currently taking a break. But last semester for my Econometrics' class I wrote a paper regarding the correlation of poverty rate and corruption rate in unfree economies and how would a high correlation affect the economic growth of a country.
What are your plans for the next five years?
I am planning to attend law school and specialize in international law. My dream job is to for the UN as a human rights attorney for refugees.
What made you want to apply to SISE?
My professor encouraged to apply and also it seemed a very interesting program to be part of. I am excited to attend SISE.
What are you most looking forward to doing in the city?
I enjoy visiting museums and eating great food. :)
Do you like cats? If not, are you willing to learn to like cats?
I love dogs, so I'm not sure if I can love cats. :)
