Dr. P.S. Sriraj is the Director and Research Associate Professor at the Urban Transportation Center at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He has published numerous technical papers and reports, including over 20 refereed journal papers. He served on the Committee on Socio-economic Factors in Transportation and Environmental Justice on the Transportation Research Board of the National Academy of Sciences. He received the Outstanding Paper Award from TRB.

Dr. Sriraj has led projects totaling more than $6 million supporting research on operations and planning of surface transportation, with a focus on public transportation systems. His current and previous clients include Chicago transit Authority, Federal Transit Administration, Illinois Department of Transportation, and Illinois Department of Human Services. He led a team of researchers that studied the effectiveness of job access transportation programs and its impact on regional mobility.
